John McCain Wrote Letter in 2006 Warning Congress of Coming Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Train Wreck
It looks like John McCain really did warn Congress about an upcoming Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae train wreck two years before it happened. Humanevents.com has provided a copy of the letter that Senator McCain wrote to then Majority Leader Bill Frist and Banking Committee Chairman Richard Shelby. McCain wrote the letter in 2006.
The letter is signed by 19 Senators. Senator Obama WAS NOT one of them.
This piece of news is a great reflection of mainstream media bias. The biased mainstream media conglomo I like to refer to as NBCABCCBSCNNAPNEWYORKTIMESWASHINGTONPOST is barely mentioning this. But imagine if Senator Obama had been the one to write the letter warning about Freddie and Fannie...the establishment media would be exalting that story 24 hours a day for a week straight. But since their messiah is not the one, and his opponent did, you won't find this story in through the tired, stale news sources...thank you Human Events and other internet news pioneers out there. Because of your hard work, people can get the full story they would have otherwise missed.
Side note: Imagine all of the unknown stories that the public never heard about before the internet.

Although I always got a kick out of my dad calling CNN the Clinton News Network when he was alive, I actually read about McCain's support of this reform bill on their site a few weeks ago, and I also heard about it on NPR.
